I met up with Chuck and Susan Bussey again this morning for a ‘short’ walk. After it was all said and done, we did over 5kilometers through a very scenic area just outside of town.
After all the rain and cool weather lately, we finally got to see the top of Mama Cotacachi with fresh snow!
Our walk took us to an area just outside of town where a local tour operator Milton Andramunio was restoring an old grain mill. A very picturesque spot hidden in a deep ravine with a small creek running through it.
On the way out of the ravine we came across some very pretty little flowers. I thought maybe they were some kind of small orchid.
On the way back into town, we stopped by a small bull ring. They don’t have bullfights here anymore, but it was interesting.
That was pretty much the end of our walk and we headed back to Chuck and Susan’s place for a coffee and a nice shot of some coffee liqueur made by a local expat. Pretty much the start of a nice Sunday in Cotacachi.
