On Saturday morning we attended a pancake breakfast fundraiser for the Place of Hope soup kitchen in Cotacachi. This project was started by Micky Enright, a local realtor and expat living in Cotacachi. They serve breakfast to the elderly and disabled population in Cotacachi 7 days a week. There are also doctors that come in and volunteer their professional services on a regular basis.
The breakfast was well attended by the local expat community. There was live music and a raffle was also held. Giselle and I both won raffle prizes that were donated by local businesses.
