Day 10 of our adventure started out with breakfast and goodbye’s to our friends participating in the Gypsy Run. They were taking a different route going from Hinton to Jasper, then down to Kamloops and home. We were heading down the Icefields Parkway to Lake Louise and into Golden. Our friend Niels Jensen joined us as he had an extra day available and wanted to do the Parkway as well. The run into Jasper is beautiful, and we had sunny weather to match.
We stopped at the Columbia Icefield tourist centre for a photo op before continuing down to Lake Louise. The views along this stretch of highway are nothing but stunning!
We had lunch with Cathy and Doug in Lake Louise where we said goodbye as they were heading into Calgary to visit friends. Niels joined us for the run into Golden. We booked into
Mary’s Motel in Golden and sauntered over to the
Whitetooth Brewhouse for dinner and some samples. Giselle enjoyed a dip in the pool after.
