Day one of our expedition to Turkiye started with over 30 hours of travel! We woke up at 3:00AM on the 30th of October to drive down to Seattle for our first flight to Paris. Traffic was easy and we made it to our check-in at the airport in plenty of time. Our 11 hour flight to Paris was uneventful, with a layover of a few hours before our 5 hour flight into Istanbul. We arrived in the late afternoon of the 31st with an 11 hour time difference to our home. We met our Gate 1 representative at the airport and were whisked to our hotel in time for an evening get together with our fellow tour participants and our host.
